Part of the Dean’s management team responsible for creating policies and short and long range goals and implementing them. Manage computer technical support group and creative services group which include graphic artists, webmasters, editors, photographers, system analysts, LAN administrators, and support staff. Created Information Services Department to service all computing and telephone needs for the Dean’s office. Upgraded and expanded phone systems, to include teleconferencing and new computer help desk. Created the Media Design center for multi-media and publishing needs for faculty, staff, and students. Responsible for personnel, budget, customer service, resource management, operations and planning of IS resources. Coordinate key technology projects and strategic initiatives. Created and implemented disaster recovery plan.

Generated new technology business and partnerships. Formalized existing business structure and policies. Created and managed streaming projects and creation of clients’ web services. Instrumental in fundraising over $1,000,000 in capital. Opened ClipShow’s digitization lab in Austin, Texas. Managed all functions of the Austin digitization lab, including marketing, advertising and public relations. Created and managed budget. Procured and configured digitizing equipment. Hired and managed consultants. Developed and implemented revenue stream strategies. Negotiated various with consultants, vendors and suppliers.

Responsible for the NEC/James Baker Institute multimedia theatre and video production facility and personnel. Managed IT Media Services Department. Responsibilities included training and supervising personnel, scheduling and distribution of multimedia, audio, video, computer, and teleconferencing needs for entire campus. Produced multimedia shows, teleconferences, and special events for university and outside groups. Managed tape library and the acquisition of all new media for the department using CARS SQL database. Handled copyright issues and licensing agreements.
